Riley on the back of my scooter loving it!

Who is Finnegan you ask? I am an enthusiast of a smattering of things. One of my biggest passions is motorcycling. Followed closely by driving anything I can get behind, on or in. At the core, both are  driven by my pursuit for adrenaline and honing my skills to see how they manifest through a machine.

A Brief History

A few years after of riding and commuting paired with several bikes, I came across the information that I, a mere simpleton or nobody could road race. I didn’t have to be a professional to do it and it wasn’t only in my childhood dreams this was all possible. However there was a several year delay in the start while I slowly acquired all the gear and the used race bike as I could afford them piece by piece.

In the mean-time to help fund the gear to start racing, I stumbled into another crazy idea. I took a class and became a certified instructor to teach other people how to ride and hopefully hook them into this passion I know is very fulfilling. Oh my god, what a great way to be part of motorcycling and I get paid to do it too? Nice!! Eventually I was able to start my racing career at the local club amateur level. The feeling and experience was bliss and out of this world.

While racing I got involved in motorcyclist advocacy organizations, RVs and dirt biking. In regards to the dirt biking, WOW, yet another dimension to this underworld! While I have ridden at the track a few times, I naturally gravitate to trail riding and exploring. Pair that with RV camping and what a way to get away from the routine and connect with nature and the simple pleasures.

Fast forwarding to current date, I see that I have owned more automotive vehicles in 16 years than most people have in their entire life. Last rough count I had was over 26 (Automobiles, motorcycles & RVs) yet while I have driven hundreds over the same period. So I have gotten to experience many makes, models, features, and unique characteristics across them all.

I look back and see that in my years I have experienced so much and as well as learned a wealth about myself and created my own rules going forward to live life and that is vaguely where this blog starts with occasional looks back to the past.

I hope you check out my blog; please Share, Like and Comment if you enjoyed it or know others that would. Please Subscribe to keep up to date with my mystery path into the future.
